SOUTH BEND — The social workers will stay. So, too, will the administrative assistants at primary centers.

Those were among the workers whose jobs were spared as the South Bend Community School Corp. approved a series of cuts Monday.

At the end of the three-hour meeting, the corporation was left with finding $1.2 million more so it can reach its goal of $8.2 million in cuts.
