One of the most important local issues to be decided in Tuesday’s election was whether residents in Clinton Central School District were willing to pony up an additional $.15 per $100 in assessed property valuation to bring the school system back into the black.

Fortunately for the school board and Superintendent Ralph Walker, support for the referendum was substantial, with 64 percent voting to give the district the tax rate increase for the next seven years.
