Sculpture Trails Outdoor Museum, located at 6764 N Tree Farm Road in Solsberry, is currently accepting applications for internships for July 2023.

There are 20 openings available and they fill up quickly.

Interning at Sculpture Trails is an experience like no other, as interns are encouraged to create and install their own sculptures in the Cast Iron Sculpture exhibition on the museum grounds.

Interns will learn a host of skills, including alternative pattern techniques, iron blast furnace operation, basic woodworking, various mold-making techniques and more. Interns will assist participant artists with their work, such as pouring molds, finishing and installation.

Interns camp for free at the trails and meals are provided with the help of grants and donations.

“We usually run over 30,000 pounds of iron and make over 50,000 pounds of sand molds during the workshops,” said owner/artist Gerry Masse. “We’ll keep you safe and teach you how to dance with iron, who wouldn’t love that?”
