EVANSVILLE — As part of her 100-day plan, Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry has brought back the traveling city hall.

Thursday evening, in conjunction with United Neighborhoods of Evansville, Terry and city department staff were available at 5:30 p.m. at the C.K. Newsome Center.

Right at 5:30, Terry welcomed the crowd and noted that this was not a town hall. Instead the public was free to mingle and visit specific tables to talk to a representative from the department they wanted to address.

Terry was available at a table for the mayor's office, along with Deputy Mayor Lindsay Locasto.

Here's what to expect at future city halls.

When and where will they take place?

Future traveling city halls will take place in May, August and November this year. No dates or locations were announced Thursday.

Terry's communication's director, Joe Atkinson, said they hope to have information on the May event in the next couple of weeks.

Who can the public talk to?

Thursday evening, Atkinson said he believed every city department was represented in the room. And that's what people can expect at future meetings.

This includes the Evansville Water and Sewer Utility, the mayor's office, the parks department and more which members of the public can direct their questions to.
