MUNCIE -- The landscape of Muncie Community Schools could look very different in the near feature.

The district could move to one high school for grades 9-12, leaving two middle schools for grades 6-8. One of the current high schools could become a middle school and the other could be leased.

Or, the city could continue to have two high schools, but for grades 8-12, and one middle school for grades six and seven. The second middle school could be leased or repurposed.
