A Summerhouse Inn has no dog days in its near future.

The owner of the 96-unit motel complex on the eastern edge of Bloomington plans a few busy years for the inn. That owner — Renaissance Rentals of Bloomington — wants to replace the complex’s existing buildings and expand its offerings to include long-term leases. Plus, the company hopes to add more motel buildings in coming years.

“It’s a new business model,” said Tim Henke, Renaissance Rentals co-owner. “It’s not something that we can look to see how somebody else has done it. We don’t currently leasespace there.”
