SOUTH BEND — At least three — and possibly four — peregrine falcon chicks have hatched atop the County-City Building.

Maltese, the mother bird, could be seen feeding the hatchlings on the city’s webcam (falcam.southbendin.gov) this afternoon.

This is Maltese’s first brood with Peace, a 2-year-old male from Macomb County, Mich., that arrived in the area sometime last month.
