AUBURN — KPC Media Group has purchased Envision Graphics of Auburn, KPC’s Chief Executive Officer Randy Mitchell announced Friday.

Cindy Busch will continue working and managing the day-to-day operations of Envision Graphics, which now will be housed in The Star office at 118 W. 9th St. in downtown Auburn.

“I am very excited to announce the acquisition of Envision Graphics by KPC Media Group Inc.,” Mitchell said. “Envision Graphics, a digital printing company in Auburn, is a well respected, locally owned company, and we are pleased that the Busch family has decided to allow KPC Media Group to continue that tradition.

Mitchell said Busch will “play an integral role as we expand and enhance our commercial printing capabilities.”

Busch’s father, the late Fritz Busch, established Envision Graphics in 1992 in its location at 506 Brandon Street. Mr. Busch passed away Nov. 1, 2016.

Cindy Busch joined her father in business 12 years ago.

The business produces booklets, banners, business forms, brochures, pamphlets, shop tags and other corporate needs, with design services available.

Joan Busch said her late husband had artistic talent and a gift for dealing with customers with his keen sense of humor.

“He loved the people in Auburn. He made many friends through this business. He loved the camaraderie,” she said.

“He appreciated customer loyalty” and always had stories to share with customers, Cindy Busch said about her father. “I was the lucky child who got to work with Dad for 12 years.”

She said community members have been very supportive of the business since her father’s passing, and members of her family have pitched in to help keep the business operating.

“He would be very happy to know that you are going to continue it for him,” Joan Busch told KPC officers Friday.

With the move to downtown Auburn, Envision Graphics’ Brandon Street building will be offered for sale.

“KPC is privileged to now own four businesses in DeKalb County,” Mitchell said. “As a family-owned company that has served northeast Indiana for more than 100 years, the investments we make must enhance the communities in which we serve. With the expansion of our commercial printing footprint, we can better provide businesses with high-quality and more affordable options for all of their printing needs without having to outsource to other companies outside of the area.

“KPC Media Group is driven by a hyper-local focus on the communities we serve, and we are honored to add Envision Graphics to our family.”

KPC Media Group, headquartered in Kendallville, publishes the daily newspapers based in Auburn, Angola and Kendallville, along with weeklies in Garrett, Butler, Ligonier, Huntertown, Albion and Churubusco.
