JASPER — Students from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs will conduct a summer capstone project in the City of Jasper in the coming months.

The study will benefit the Department of Planning and Development and will look at possibilities for a mixed-use neighborhood in the city’s downtown, opportunities for public-private partnerships, a downtown riverfront activation plan and recommendations for future developments with analysis of markets, employment and cost projection for each recommendation.

Students from around the world will take part in the class that puts together Jasper’s case study and will integrate public policy, management, and science and technology. Students will present their findings at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 24 at Jasper City Hall.
