ELKHART — Even though the tempratures were near freezing, Wednesday's groundbreaking for Genesis Products' new $10 million, 200,000-square-foot facility in Goshen demonstrated that growth in the recreational vehicle industry is still hot.

The company plans to move some employees to the new Goshen facility, located at the intersection of Dierdoff Road and Eisenhower Drive, by September, according to Genesis Products President and CEO Jon Wenger.

The company, which specializes in manufacturing laminated panels and interior components for the RV industry, employs 525 and owns seven facilities around Elkhart and Goshen, as well as one in Virginia.

Caitlin Munch, a communications assistant with Genesis Products, was not sure of how many jobs the new facility would create, given that some postions in other factories may move over. She confirmed, however, that 100 employees eventually will fill the new facility.
