11 Indiana arts and cultural groups get more than $1.2 million from NEA

A Bloomington group is among 11 Indiana arts and culture organizations that have been awarded National Endowment for the Arts funding grants totaling more than $1.2 million.

Bloomington’s $30,000 award is going to the American Folklore Society, which is headquartered at Indiana University.

The announcement was made Wednesday by the Indiana Arts Commission, which will receive $767,400 to assist with arts endeavors across the state, the Associated Press reported.
