A career fair next week aims to help Aerotek fill 400 job openings at the Toyota plant in Princeton.

Aerotek announced the fair at the WorkOne Facility at 700 E. Walnut St. in Evansville. The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The jobs are open to applicants with a high school diploma or GED and offer a 72-month contract. Workers will be required to meet safety, attendance and performance expectations, and hourly pay starts at $17.05/hr.

Applicants who are unable to make the career fair can also apply online at www.aerotekin.com.

The positions are part of a previously announced production expansion at the 20-year-old Gibson County facility that includes a $600 million investment from Toyota that will allow the company to increase production of its Highlander line of sport utility vehicles.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana spokeswoman Karen Johnston said the plant intends to be operating at the new capacity by Fall 2019. The plant expects to be able to produce an additional 40,000 Highlanders annually after the expansion.

Toyota opened the assembly factory in 1998 and builds Sequoia SUVs and Sienna minivans, as well as the Highlander. The company says the plant built about 400,000 vehicles last year, up from about 375,000 during 2015.
