More talent, more affordable housing and more horsepower have drawn Bloomington-based Lucid Services Group to move its headquarters to Indianapolis while maintaining an office in its hometown.

Already, the technology consulting company has started moving into the Stutz Business and Arts Center in Indianapolis. Formerly the Stutz Motorcar Co. headquarters, the building now houses small- and mid-sized tech companies, businesses and artists.

Lucid Services Group began in 2016 as a technology staffing firm called LucidCorps before transforming into a technology solutions company. Now, Lucid Services Group is on its way to turning 15 employees into more than 90 in the next four years.

“Space availability, as we looked at our growth plan, was absolutely something we considered. There’s not a lot in Bloomington, and it’s more expensive than it is in Indianapolis,” said John Galligan, chief operating officer for Lucid Services Group. “We can more easily scale our space here in Indy than we can in Bloomington.”

Lucid Services Group has kept a small footprint despite expanding its sales 400 percent in the past year.

The team of software developers and engineers provide work on location to help medical device, embedded systems, Internet of Things, Software as a Service and other software companies figure out technical solutions.
