ANDERSON — The city of Anderson has renewed its contract with the Corporation for Economic Development for another year.

The Anderson Board of Public Works approved the renewal Tuesday at a cost of $100,000 from food and beverage tax revenues.

Greg Winkler, executive director of the Anderson Economic Development Department, said the contract was $50,000 less than the 2017 contract.

He said the Corporation for Economic Development (CED) is sharing the work load in 2018.

Winkler said Rob Sparks, director of the CED, represented the city on a 10-day trip this year to China to meet with companies that might be interested in locating in Anderson.
