United Way of Huntington County held its annual thank you luncheon Wednesday to recognize those who contributed to the 2017 campaign.

The event was attended by 150 United Way supporters at Huntington First Church of the Nazarene.

Todd Latta, United Way 2017 board of directors chair, recognized the board members who attended. The luncheon was provided by United Way funded partners.

“The work of our funded partners within the pillars of education, financial stability and health and wellness is vital and it is truly making a difference in the lives of families and children within Huntington County,” Latta said.

Kyle Metzger, United Way president and CEO, said the campaign slogan for 2017 was “We Are United, You Are The Way.”

“We want to mobilize the dollars raised and make it a better community for now and those after us,” Metzger said. “As always these funds will be reinvested in our local community to help support individuals and families.”

Adam Fusselman, United Way 2017 campaign chair, said there was $575,000 raised during the campaign that began last September. The goal was $578,000.
