Indiana Tech's track and field and softball teams should have permanent facilities to call their own next year.

Indiana Tech plans to invest an estimated $6.4 million in the construction of a track and field facility, softball stadium and athletic training and office facility at Memorial Park.

The university and city are partnering on new facilities, Indiana Tech President Arthur Snyder and Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry announced today.

"We'll coordinate public access to these facilities," Snyder said during a news conference in the park's pavilion.
