Firm buys naming rights to Fort Wayne riverfront amphitheatre

A local firm is investing in the Riverfront Development Project.

Ambassador Enterprises will invest $500,000 in the Fort Wayne Park Foundation and will receive naming rights for the South Dock Amphitheatre in return, a statement from the firm said today.

The South Dock Amphitheatre is a planned open space at Riverfront Park along the river. The space will have large steps on the slope of the riverbank that will be used as seating for 850 people to enjoy an open-air venue for performance, entertainment and sports.

Construction is to begin July 17 and will take about 1 1/2 years to complete.
