Elkhart manufacturer expands: Riverside Tool acquires Florida-based saw business

An Elkhart-based company, Riverside said in a press release that the acquisition will "strengthen the capabilities, products and services of both companies." Started in Goshen 26 years ago, Riverside is a full-service provider and manufacturer of cutting tools for the woodworking and plastics industries.

Ron Migedt, general manager of Riverside, said that some of General Saw's products will be produced in Elkhart, while the sales office for General Saw will remain in Florida. 

"We are adding more staff for this acquisition in Elkhart, but the total number is to be determined," said Migedt.
