At Monday’s meeting of the Clay County Commissioners, a contract was approved with WTH Technology, the company that does a portion of the mapping for the county, to handle requests for county-owned data.

WTH will sell the information on behalf of the county and the county will receive one-third of the revenue with two-thirds going to WTH Technology.

County Commissioner Paul Sinders said he would have liked to see the county get a larger share of the revenue.

The agreement was passed by the county council on first reading only 6-0. Council member Jackie Mitchell was absent so the rules could not be suspended and the ordinance voted on second reading at the same meeting, said Council President Larry Moss.
