WEST LAFAYETTE — Purdue University is getting a new veterinary teaching facility.
The state budget committee approved more than $37 million for a new teaching hospital and improvements at Lynn Hall of Veterinary Medicine. The Purdue board of trustees approved the construction in August.
Funds for the project come from Purdue's central reserves and gift funds.
In a news release, State Rep. Sheila Klinker (D-Lafayette) said a new teaching veterinary hospital is one of the top priorities for the college of veterinary medicine.
