The University of Saint Francis on Friday announced a new partnership with the University of Dayton for an accelerated law degree program.

Known as a 3+2 program, the partnership allows students in Saint Francis' political science – pre-law program to complete general education courses and most major requirements at Saint Francis. Qualified students will then begin law degree courses at the University of Dayton. Students will spend three years at Saint Francis and two years at Dayton.

“This program allows students to finish their undergraduate and law degrees in five years instead of seven,” said Thomas Schneider, Saint Francis associate professor of political science. “This saves them tuition costs and allows them to advance more quickly in their educations and professional careers.”
