Health clinic approved for Monroe County employees

An on-site health clinic for Monroe County government employees is expected to open Aug. 1.

The county commissioners signed a contract Friday with Indianapolis-based Activate Healthcare to operate the clinic, which will be in the space formerly occupied by the county extension office in the Health Services Building, 119 W. Seventh St. Extension staffers recently moved into offices at the Monroe County Solid Waste Management District on South Walnut Street.
