The Indiana State Department of Health on Saturday reported 3,973 new cases of COVID-19, the 19th day in a row that new cases have exceeded 3,000 statewide.

The department also reported 41 more deaths due to COVID-19, the 97th day in a row that reported deaths have exceeded single digits.

The state said 14,105 new individuals have been tested, the ninth time in 11 days when testing in that category has exceeded 10,000.

Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 decreased from 2,432 on Thursday to 2,404 on Friday, the ninth straight day of decreases. The high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.

The latest numbers show 55,962 Hoosiers have been fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus and 282,943 have received their first dose of the vaccine.
