The Allen County commissioners have chosen their preferred site for a new county jail – and it’s not the Adams Center Road site less than half a mile from three school buildings.
The proposed site is on Meyer Road north of Moeller Road and was formerly part of International Harvester. The commissioners will have to buy the 140 acres owned by Meyer Venture LLC if they are going to move forward with the location.
