Registration is now open to attend the Indianapolis stop of a tour in which Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay has taken his collection of pop culture artifacts to six U.S. cities.

On Sept. 9, Lucas Oil Stadium will be the seventh venue to exhibit the Jim Irsay Collection, but the first to feature Colts memorabilia from Indianapolis and Baltimore. Former Colts running back Edgerrin James is scheduled to attend the event.

In addition to a display of high-profile musical instruments purchased by Irsay, the exhibition will feature a first-time concert performance by the Jim Irsay Band and a special appearance by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Ann Wilson of Heart. Irsay’s all-star band includes Irsay on vocals, guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd, bass player Mike Mills of R.E.M., guitarist Mike Wanchic from John Mellencamp’s band and drummer Kenny Aronoff.

In announcing the event, the Colts said the Jim Irsay Band “has never existed and will never exist again.”

Admission to the 7-10 p.m. event is free with registration at jimirsaycollection.com. When registering, attendees are provided an option to donate to “Kicking the Stigma,” an initiative to raise awareness about mental health disorders.

Irsay presently is considering locations for a permanent museum to display his collection. Since September, the tour of temporary exhibitions has visited Nashville, Tennessee; Washington, D.C.; Austin, Texas; Los Angeles; New York City; and Chicago.
