MISHAWAKA — John Becker’s recent addition to his “urban art” portfolio in Mishawaka can be seen affixed to the side of a building he owns at 101 E. Mishawaka Ave.

A red Mini Cooper is affixed to the east side of 101 CO-3, a small business-entrepreneurial firm in a former bank building at Main Street and Mishawaka Avenue.

Lit at night and spotted by day, Becker said he got the idea for the automotive art piece like this one while traveling.

“I had to find the right materials, the right car,” Becker said. “It has been all positive, and people really like it and it makes them smile.”

Becker is not new in creating publicly visual art works. He was behind the 9-foot aluminum horse and cowboy at the McKinley Avenue entrance to Town & Country Shopping Centre, which he also owns.
