The Nature Conservancy has received a federal grant of $15.75 million to improve the water quality of the Wabash River in central Indiana.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced $1.5 billion for conservation efforts. The award for the Wabash River is part of the Regional Conservation Partnership Program that aims to help communities to find solutions to natural resource challenges for watersheds and landscapes, the conservancy said in a news release.
