This week’s long-term care facility dashboard update provided by the state health department showed no new resident or staff COVID-19 cases in Monroe County, but a rise in cases at one facility in neighboring Lawrence County.

Information about numbers of cases at long-term care facilities is updated weekly on Wednesdays at coronavirus.in.gov for cases self-reported by each location. New cases reflect those reported to the state health department in the seven days before the previous dashboard update, but may have occurred over a range of dates. This week’s update includes cases reported in the week before Oct. 14.

Most significantly, in Lawrence County, Stonebridge Health Campus reported 21 new cases in staff members and 30 new residents with positive COVID-19 test results.

The additional cases bring the total for Stonebridge residents with COVID-19 to 40. For staff members, the total is now 24. Fewer than five residents of the facility have died, according to the dashboard.

Stonebridge, a senior living facility in Bedford, is owned by Louisville company Trilogy Health Services LLC, which also has two facilities in Bloomington — Hearthstone Health Campus and Stonecroft Health Campus. Those two facilities reported no new cases on this week’s report; for the previous reporting period, each had a few new positive tests for staff members, but no new infected residents.
