A new inflatable water park obstacle course is coming to Logansport and will be located inside France Park. Kingdom Splash Fest will launch Saturday, June 4, and offer park visitors some fun chaos to go with peaceful treks through the woods.

Kingdom Splash Fest is a family effort from William Prince, who grew up in Logansport before joining the military out of high school. He recently returned to area after 40 years away. He’s joined in the effort by his wife Kim, son Caleb and daughter-in-law Sabra.

“We wanted to bring some kind of business to Logansport because we are from here,” he said. “We had been looking into different water parks so we found the connection with France Park, and it was a good fit.”

Water parks like Kingdom Splash Fest have become a popular attraction across the region with options in Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Caleb Prince described the park as a ninja-type obstacle course. There is a 12 foot slide called Mt. Rainier and a section of course called Icon Run— an obstacle where swimmers must run across a section of inflatable planks, balance beams, lots of climbing and figure eights.

“The park is designed to throw you in the water,” said Prince. “It’s all slippery, and you are just trying to navigate your way through the course.”

Safety is a key concern for the family. CPR and AED Red Cross certified life guards will be on the scene.

The water park is open to those aged 7 and up. Children between 7 and 10 years old must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

Life vests are provided. Prince suggested swimmers bring water. A concession stand will also be available.

Admission to Kingdom Splash Fest is $20. Visitors 6 years of age or older must pay the $5 admission to France Park before they can visit the obstacle course.

The park holds eight sessions throughout the day beginning at 10 a.m. The last session begins at 5 p.m. Each session lasts 50 minutes, with the final five minutes used to leave the water. Visitors are asked to arrive 15 to 20 minutes early before their session begins.

“Within those 45 minutes, you are just so exhausted, so tired, most people can’t just come back and do it again consecutively,” said Prince. “They take a break and come back because it takes a lot of energy.”

Kingdom Splash Fest will run seven days a week through September 5. Prince said they may extend operation to weekends only through September and October.

Prince said the course will be fun for swimmers and those who just want to watch.

“Your family will sit there and laugh as you fall into the water and have fun,” he said.
