MUNCIE — As COVID-19 vaccinations continue to be administered across the state of Indiana, local politicians and health officials are still concerned over a lack of communication from the state.

Jammie Bane, administrator with the Delaware County Health Department, gave a brief update to the Delaware County commissioners on Tuesday during their regular meeting over the pandemic and vaccination efforts.

The Indiana State Department of Health releases a color-coded map on a weekly basis, placing counties in four categories for spread.

The current data is based on numbers through Jan. 11, but the trends were clearly showing wide spread across the state and especially in East Central Indiana.

"We seem to be progressing that way everywhere," Bane said, expressing a lack of confidence about numbers improving in the near future.
