Since April, the Knightstown Redevelopment Commission has been pitching the idea of a community branding project. They partnered with Stratavize out of Cambridge City for the effort.

The Knightstown Redevelopment Commission (RDC) announced Wednesday that they are officially kicking off their community branding initiative. But before they kick it off, they want to know what town residents are interested in.

The branding is the next step in the RDC’s efforts to support local development, plan future revitalization, and attract new business to Knightstown

Knightstown RDC President Roger Hammer has continually said this about the project: “I think the key things we want to do is track visitors and, as a redevelopment commission, we need to make ourselves available to reach out to businesses and industries. We need to make them aware that Knightstown is up and coming and growing.”

In its announcement, the RDC said, “The Town of Knightstown is ready to embark on a branding initiative that will enable the community to discover its untapped potential.”

Knightstown RDC expects this branding initiative to discover how to set Knightstown apart from other communities in Indiana and the Midwest. KRDC has created a Brand Champions Team, a group made up of area leaders, stakeholders, and businesses, to help lead the process of developing the brand direction.

The new brand strategy will be unveiled in 2022 and will include a dynamic new website, social media campaigns, and other offline marketing efforts.

The process includes a survey, stakeholder interviews, and public meetings to ensure a variety of voices and viewpoints are heard.

The Knightstown Redevelopment Commission wants to hear from everyone in the community and beyond.

What can you do to help? You can start by taking a five-minute survey.

How the survey will be used

This data will help inform the branding initiative and will help inform future projects.

The deadline to take the survey is Friday, Nov. 26.
