Uncertain economic factors and complex issues around local construction and real estate may be slowing down business development in northeast Indiana.
Stéphane Frijia, president of the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, detailed the economic concerns during his address to the Rotary Club of Fort Wayne meeting Monday.
Frijia noted that this region is ahead of pace on business inquiries with the economic development agency already fielding 41 inquiries toward its annual target of 70. Despite initial interest from businesses looking to expand into the area, the effort to translate it into deals is growing more difficult.
