Fulton County United Way has raised $97,000 through its latest capital campaign.
The organization made the announcement Wednesday at its annual dinner. It also gave out awards to area businesses for giving the most money to the organization.
The agency’s goal was raising $100,000 to pass along to partner agencies. Its campaign lasted from September to January.
The organization did raise a few thousand more than last year, said Executive Director Jenny Moriarty. Of that money, only $2,000 has to go to the parent United Way organization.
