WEST LAFAYETTE — As Purdue University President Mitch Daniels departs at the end of this year, individuals loyal to the university and the president enjoy financial blessings associated with Purdue during his tenure.

Daniels announced June 10 he would step down effective Dec. 31, 2022, and engineering dean Mung Chiang will become the next Purdue president as of Jan. 1, 2023.

The Journal & Courier examined a number of close ties to Daniels where contracts and projects have blossomed.

That doesn't sit well with one West Lafayette elected official.
