INDIANAPOLIS — Springs Valley Meadows, an American Senior Community facility in French Lick, recently reported an additional 33 cases of COVID-19 among its residents, according to the Indiana State Department of Health.

Previously, only eight COVID-19 cases had been identified among the Orange County long-term facility’s residents during the pandemic. The latest data show an additional 33 cases, for a total of 41 so far. Eleven additional cases also were reported among staff, for a total of 32. At least one resident of Springs Valley Meadows with COVID-19 has died.

COVID-19 data is self-reported by each facility to the Indiana State Department of Health. This week’s updates included cases and virus-related deaths reported during the seven-day period ending Jan. 20.

In Lawrence County, Garden Villa-Bedford reported fewer than five new staff cases and fewer than five new resident cases. At least one resident with COVID-19 died during the latest reporting period. StoneBridge Health Campus also reported one additional COVID-19-related death.
