Allen County officials: New more than $300 million jail 'on schedule and on budget'

Construction of the new more than $300 million Allen County Jail remains on schedule and on budget.

The commissioners announced Sunday that foundational construction is almost finished. Concrete foundation walls have been completed and backfilled.

Excavation and installation of underground electrical conduit sleeves through foundation walls, rough grading of the site and site storm, water and sewer pipes have all been completed, a news release said.
