WINCHESTER — Ball State University’s counseling practicum clinic has established a telehealth counseling hub within the Randolph County Health Department.
The counseling practicum clinic can deliver services to individuals in Randolph County remotely Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon.
“The main goal of the project is to fill a service gap in Randolph County,” Lina Burkhart, director of the counseling practicum clinic, said in a news release. “It was really evident that across the life span in Randolph County, there is a need for more accessible and affordable mental health services.”
Ball State’s counseling practicum clinic offers in-person and telehealth individual, couples and family counseling to people of all ages, identities and backgrounds.
"The clinic provides a range of services for individual, couples and family counseling for a variety of social, emotional and/or behavioral concerns including ADHD, anxiety, behavior issues and more," the release said.
