Fort Wayne’s mayor wants to give some neighborhood parks an upgrade and make the overall city a little bit greener.

At a news conference Thursday, Mayor Tom Henry announced that the city will receive an unexpected $22.5 million from the state in a local income tax supplemental distribution. The money could arrive as early as next week.
