A new sign posted at Bloomington’s Seminary Park reminds people it’s illegal to stay there overnight.

And it warns that they have until Monday to vacate the downtown space.

The sign lists the phone numbers and addresses of seven local social service agencies that provide a free place to sleep.

“If you stay here overnight, please find safe shelter elsewhere by Monday, Jan. 11, 2021,” the orange-and-white city of Bloomington sign says.

Tuesday afternoon, 25 tents of various sizes had been pitched up the hill along the west side of the park, across from the Seminary Square Kroger store.
