Gleason moves production facility from Iowa to Goshen

GOSHEN -- A manufacturer outside the RV industry recently expanded production and created jobs.

Gleason Industrial Products Inc., 612 Reynolds St., announced that it transferred production of weathercaps from its Fort Madison, Iowa, facility to the Maple City. The consolidation created 16 positions in Goshen.

The "Anthes" brand of weathercaps, used on exhaust systems in the construction, agricultural, manufacturing and trucking industries, will now be made in the local plant, according to Gleason. Production requires fabrication, stamping, bending, forming and welding, as well as powder coat finishing and assembly/packaging.

The products are shipped to customers in the United States and South America, the company stated.
