Citilink's board of directors approved fare increases Thursday, but delayed a vote on service cuts in the hope of soliciting money from area universities, foundations and businesses.
The board unanimously approved charging $1.25 for an adult bus trip, an increase of a quarter. It also raised its reduced fares - given to children, seniors and those with disabilities - by a dime to 60 cents. Other day passes were implemented to help reduce costs for frequent riders, and those who transfer between buses.
