Dutchmen Manufacturing will close its facilities at 305 and 313 Steury Ave. in Goshen, according to a notice the company filed with state officials June 25.
All 116 employees will be laid off at the recreational vehicle manufacturing plant and office on Aug. 24, although Inside INdiana Business reports the company may recall the employees if RV demand picks up.
According to the Suzanne Randall, human resources director for the company, the closure is "due to a consolidation of facilities to balance output with current market demands."
Production at the Steury Avenue plant will be consolidated with its plants on C.R. 38 in Goshen and one in Middlebury.
Dutchmen has shut down operations at its plants until July 14.
The RV industry has been hit by slow sales as the economy slumps and fuel prices rise.
Earlier this week Newmar Corp. in Nappanee announced it would cut jobs at its facilities next week. The company would not say how many jobs would be lost.
