Newmar Corp. has eliminated an additional 31 manufacturing positions this week, according to a release from the company.
Tuesday, Keith Weirich, director of human resources, confirmed the recreational vehicle manufacturer would be making more cuts but did not specific the number of impacted workers.
The Nappanee company said the reduction amounted to about 5 percent of its total workforce.
In a release, Newmar blamed this latest round of downsizing on the "continuing economic downturn and the impact it has made on the RV industry."
