Fort Wayne Right of Way nearly doubles its annual workload in 2025

The number of projects Fort Wayne’s Right of Way Department has completed each year has nearly doubled over about seven years.

Department manager Nick Jarrell said Right of Way had 29 projects in 2018. This year, it has 75, covering 120 acres of green space. He described right of way as “the area where public meets private,” about 50 feet on a street and includes all things infrastructure both above and below ground.
