The RV industry continues to move larger numbers of trailers, campers and motorhomes this year than last year, according to market reports.
The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) reports 33,843 RV units were shipped to retailers in October, a 4.6 percent increase over October 2014. Year-to-date shipments of towable RVs are up 4.9 percent over this time last year, and motorhome shipments are up 5.8 percent.
Truck campers saw the greatest proportional gain over last year, the RVIA says, with 46.8 percent more shipments in October this year than last year. Overall, shipments of towable RVs and motorhomes are up 5 percent so far this year compared to the same time last year.
