One of this city's longest and most storied traditions ended early today.

The final Palladium-Item printed at the P-I plant on North A Street in Richmond rolled off the press early this morning.

And when the last copy of USA Today is printed Thursday night, the press will fall silent, capping 150 years of production of daily newspapers for local readers and commercial jobs for clients across the area and around the country.
