Chrysler lays off 130 at Kokomo plant

Approximately 130 employees of DaimlerChrysler AG in Kokomo are facing indefinite layoffs this week.

Chrysler spokeswoman Michelle Tinson confirmed Friday afternoon that approximately 130 employees will be laid off indefinitely as a result of volume adjustments.

"It's natural for a corresponding reduction in our components which would include engines and transmissions to be impacted," Tinson said.
