EDITORIAL: Daniels tax plan really is 'fair, far-reaching'

The most common public reaction to the property tax reform plan offered by Gov. Mitch Daniels is to term it "a good start" for discussion and resolution. Actually, it is far more than that.

The plan is comprehensive, wide-ranging and incorporates new ideas as well as a few wrinkles that have been talked about for years in Indiana but never incorporated in public-policy change.
