David Foster doesn't mind that there aren't more houses being built near him in Prophets Ridge subdivision on West Lafayette's north side.
Foster, a retired real estate broker, moved there because he got "an extremely good deal" on his home.
A downturn in the home construction industry is causing newly annexed areas of West Lafayette to fill in more slowly than was anticipated when the city annexed the territory in August 2006.
