Managers lined up for proposed downtown Fort Wayne hotel

The company vying to manage the third downtown Fort Wayne hotel brings with it a reputation for success and experience managing convention center hotels.

If the lone bid to build a third downtown hotel is accepted, White Lodging Services Corp. would run the $48 million Marriott hotel proposed at West Jefferson Boulevard and Harrison Street, said Greg Leatherman, Fort Wayne deputy director of development. The Merrillville-based company teamed up with developer Acquest Realty Advisors Inc. to offer a bid to build the hotel.
